Hi, I’m Charlotte!
For over 20 years, I've been deeply fascinated by all things psychology. My journey has been dedicated to understanding why we think, feel, and act the way we do and through both professional and personal development, I'm committed to empowering you to find the same freedom and authenticity that has transformed my own life.

Perhaps you're someone who avoids confrontation at all costs, over-apologises, or feels overly responsible for others' emotions—always trying to be the easygoing 'good girl.' But deep down, you know you’re ready for a change.
Having experienced the liberation of breaking free from this exhausting cycle and embracing my authentic self, I’m here to guide you in doing the same. Together, we can say yes to the ‘real’ you without guilt, set effective boundaries, stop overthinking, and unlock the confident, authentic life you’ve been longing for.
MY STORY
From as early as I can remember, I was the typical people-pleaser—although at the time, I wouldn’t have known it was called that! I was always running around doing everything for everyone, saying 'yes' when deep down I wanted to say 'no'. I constantly adjusted my personality to meet the expectations of others, doing all I could to try and fit in. I often felt like I was being ‘too much’ and yet ‘not enough’.
I overthought and worried about upsetting people, avoided any conflict, and felt it was my duty to keep everyone happy and ensure I was always liked—even if it meant neglecting my own desires and well-being.
I was always striving for more and rarely had the time to just sit and ‘be’. On the surface, I seemed easygoing and accommodating, but underneath, I was exhausted, lost, and increasingly resentful of the role I had confined myself to.
The real turning point came with the stark realisation that I didn’t truly know myself. Plagued by self-doubt, I knew things had to change.
Embarking on a journey to confront and heal from my own issues transformed my life. It’s so much more than just learning to say 'no'—I’ve unlocked my authentic self and confidence without the need for external validation.
Experiencing the freedom that comes with true self-acceptance has been life-changing.

My APPROACH
Choosing me as your therapist means you're stepping into a space that's far removed from traditional talk therapy.
My work integrates psychology and neuroscience with practical, hands-on techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and EMDR. This comprehensive approach is tailored specifically to address not just the surface level difficulties related to people-pleasing, but the underlying causes - drawing on my deep expertise of trauma, attachment, and somatic practices.
Together, we'll explore the reasons you find yourself stuck in these unhelpful cycles and discover effective, structured ways to break free. My clients often remark how refreshing it is to find a therapist who is not only professional but also genuinely relatable and approachable.

Outside the therapy room, I'm a mum to a lively little girl and our anxious rescue cockapoo, Max. After years of overthinking every outfit and worrying about being different. I've found joy wearing whatever I feel like wearing and I’m a massive fan of Lucy & Yak. My eclectic music taste, once a chameleon act to fit in with whoever I was around, now plays true to my own beat.
I feel deeply! I love nature, festivals and dancing - always the first on the dance floor without self-consciousness or worrying what people think! The freedom it brings is exhilarating.
While I treasure my solitude, since embracing my true self, I've found even greater pleasure in exploring new things and connecting with others and have happily found my tribe and a sense of belonging.
