Fees and Frequently Asked Questions about Therapy / Counselling

  • A 50 minute session is £120. In some cases it may be appropriate for us to have a 90 minute session, these are £180. The recommended session length will be discussed with you after your initial session and there is no pressure to book the longer session if this is recommended. This investment includes the 1-1 session of my 15+ years of qualifications, experience and training. My expertise and specialist knowledge will be applied to the construction of a thorough formulation of your difficulties and production of a custom therapy/counselling plan that best meets your needs and goals. Preparation time will take place before each session and reflection time after each session which includes appropriate additions to formulation/s and treatment plans and researching and reviewing interventions as appropriate.

  • This is a tricky one to answer! Each person is different and my therapy/counselling approach is tailored to your unique needs and goals. Some people feel the benefit from 10-12 sessions of learning how to change unhelpful habits and patterns. However, most of my clients find it transformative when they invest in longer-term therapy. This gives you the opportunity to really explore and get to understand your self and address the root of your difficulties.

  • Wherever you prefer - as long as you are in a comfortable and confidential place with strong internet connection and access to Zoom your setting is up to you! This is the beauty of remote therapy.

  • I encourage you to have weekly sessions, particularly in the initial stages of therapy to help build consistency and momentum. However I do appreciate the financial commitment this involves therefore you may wish to have fortnightly sessions as an alternative. Once we feel we have completed our work together you have the the opportunity to book in ad hoc follow sessions (availability dependent)

  • No, I have vast experience of working with people experiencing a range of difficulties whether that be panic attacks, social or health anxiety, worry, overthinking and overwhelm, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and more. Some of the people I work with don’t realise they are people-pleasers until we start exploring their patterns of behaviour and thought processes. Feel free to contact me to find out more about how I can help.

  • Absolutely! My training, experience and qualifications means I often work successfully with people who have been in therapy before and not felt the benefit. A lot of the people I work with might describe previous episodes of therapy where they ‘get it’ but don’t ‘feel it’ and therefore nothing has really changed. This is why my approach is different - it’s all about getting to the root of your difficulties and working from the inside out for the transformation and lasting change to occur.

  • I ask that you please give me as much notice as possible and I require at least 24 hours notice of cancellation to enable a refund of the session fee.
